Cells from all three subject groups (n = 24) were treated with various isomers of albuterol and formoterol in the presence of Mp only (1 CFU/cell) (A), or Mp (1 CFU/cell) + CSE (20%) (B). Mp levels significantly decreased with by (R)-albuterol [(R)-alb], racemic albuterol [Rac-alb], (R,R)-formoterol [(R,R)-form], and racemic formoterol [Rac-form].
