The estimates of the linear mixed effects model revealed no significant difference between (i) the healthy and diseased animals, (ii) the disease model, the two mouse strains or (iii) the diseased animals of the two groups on the log of the ratio of vesicle to particle diameter, log(RV/P). *Significant vesicle class effect (P < 0.05), i.e. effect of not being in vesicle class A but in the respective category B, C or D; thus RV/P decreases with increasing number of nanoparticles.
