Intratracheal DHA enhances survival following bleomycin injury. Mice were pretreated with DHA (6.25 mg/kg BW) or PBS 4 days prior to bleomycin injury. A. DHA-pretreated mice did not lose any weight after bleomycin injury where as the PBS-pretreated mice lost nearly 10% of their body weight (Bleomycin dose: 1.5 U/kg BW; PBS, n = 17; DHA, n = 15). B.
