Serum IL-5 levels according to the severity of asthma. The box & whisker plot shows the median and interquartile values of serum IL-5 levels. The median serum IL-5 value in mild persistent and moderate persistent groups were significantly higher compared to normal controls(both p < 0.001 and < 0.002). There was a trend for the median serum IL-5 to be higher in moderate persistent asthma than in mild persistent type of asthma (p = 0.13)
