  1. Eosinophils (4.5 × 105 cells) were incubated or not (CTRL) with Nω-nitro-L-arginine methyl ester (L-NAME; 0.1 mM), eotaxin (100 ng/ml) or RANTES (100 ng/ml) for 4 h (37°C, 5%CO2). After incubation the released peroxidase in 50 μl of supernatant was measured and expressed as mean ± SEM of optical density (n = 4). *P < 0.05 compared to control (CTRL).
