^a“Improved” meant at least 10% increase in forced vital capacity % predicted (%FVC) or at least 15% increase in diffusing capacity of the lung for carbon monoxide % predicted (%DL_CO). Stable was defined as within 10% change of %FVC and within 15% change of %DL_CO. “Deteriorated” meant over 10% decrease in %FVC or over 15% decrease in %DL_CO.
