A dynamic induction of NOX4 and α-SMA transcripts by TGF-β1 in human primary artery smooth muscle cells (HPASMCs) determined by RT-PCR assay. HPASMCs were cultured in the presence of TGFβ1 at various concentrations (0–10 ng/mL) for different time periods (0–48 h) before the cell total RNA was used for RT-PCR analysis. a A dynamic induction of NOX4 and α-SMA transcripts in HPASMCs exposed to 2.0 ng/ml of TGFβ1 at indicated time points; (b) a dynamic induction of NOX4 and α-SMA transcripts in HPASMCs exposed to indicated concentration of TGFβ1 for 24 h.
