LPS induce pulmonary edema and alveolar epithelial hyperpermeability in vivo. C57 mice were intraperitoneal injected with PBS or PBS-diluted LPS (15 mg/kg) for 8 h. (a) BALF/blood fluorescence intensity ratio and (b) Wet-to-dry lung weight ratio were measured; (c) protein concentration and (d) neutrophil cell counts in BALF were obtained; n = 3, *P < 0.05 versus control.
