An example case of the analysis by electron microscopy. The fibers and particles were divided into ferruginous bodies (a), uncoated fibers, and particles (b) based on the morphological findings. A mineralogical analysis revealed that the ferruginous body contained magnesium (Mg) and silicon (Si), calcium (Ca) and iron (Fe), suggesting it to be an actinolite asbestos body (c).
