The area under the ROC curve is the prediction performance of the model, The discrimination was low when the AUC was 0.5, moderate when the AUC was 0.6 to 0.8, and good when the AUC was greater than 0.8; AECOPD = acute exacerbation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease; ROC = Receiver Operating Characteristic; AUC = Area Under Curve; mMRC = modified Medical Research Council
