Comparison of 1- and 3-month mortality between ARDS and AE-ILD patients. Among the 55 enrolled patients, 22 were diagnosed with ARDS, and 33 were diagnosed with AE-ILDs. A significant difference in the 1-month mortality rate was evident between ARDS and AE-ILD patients (45% vs. 9%, respectively, P < 0.001). Also, a significant difference in the 3-month mortality rate was observed (45% vs. 24%, respectively, P = 0.015)
