mRNA expression levels of a interleukin (IL)-6, b IL-4, c IL-13, d IL-10, e fibronectin and f type 1 collagen (COL1) were measured using SYBR Green 2-step real-time reverse transcriptase polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR). Inhaling hydrogen gas significantly suppressed the expression of IL-6, IL-4, and IL-13 induced by bleomycin administration. The expression of fibronectin is significantly reduced by hydrogen inhalation.
