The figure shows chest radiograph images (A3), EIT images (B3) and plethysmogram (C3) of patient 3, a 10 years-old boy. The radiograph image shows elevation of the left diaphragm. EIT showed less variation in ventilation in the left region, compatible with the radiological image. The color scale of the EIT corresponds to the tidal volume variation present at the different ROIs; dark blue corresponds to a lower ventilation variation, and white corresponds to high tidal volumes. The plethysmogram (C3) shows the distribution of ventilation in the 4 ROis (upper, lower, right and left), and the amplitude of the curve indicates the variation in ventilation (delta Z), which is greater on the right lung (69%) than on the left lung (31%)
