  1. Mean oscillometry values are reported for R5–20, Ax and X5 based on the presence of individual symptoms. R5–20 is a measure of small airway resistance. Ax is a measure of the area under the reactance curve. X5 is a measure of airway elastance. The presence of cough was defined as the presence of a cough on most days in the absence of a cold. The presence of phlegm was defined as the production of phlegm on most days in the absence of a cold. The presence of wheeze was defined as the presence of a wheeze any time in the last 12 months. The presence of shortness of breath was defined as activity limitation due to shortness of breath.
