Receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve analysis to determine the cut-off values for monocyte count and body surface area (BSA). The blue and red lines show the monocyte count and BSA, respectively. The area under the curve (AUC) for monocyte count was 0.63 (0.53–0.74), with a sensitivity of 0.59 and a specificity of 0.64. The cut-off value was 0.454 × 109/L. The AUC for BSA was 0.61 (0.50–0.72), with a sensitivity of 0.70 and specificity of 0.58. The cut-off value was 1.59 m2. The AUC value of the monocyte count are almost equal to that of the BSA. The cut-off value was determined as the value at which the Youden index was greatest
