The best discriminative cut-off value of serum HE4 at admission was 286.3 pmol/L with a sensitivity of 80% and specificity of 70% to estimate disease severity (A). Using the cut-off value of 331.7 pmol/L, pre-treatment HE4 level could predict the outcome of the disease with a sensitivity of 80% and specificity of 83% (B). ROC-AUC values with P-values were determined during these calculations
