Brain MR DWI sequence of case 9, showed multiple patchy diffuse hyperintensities in the left basal ganglia, bilateral thalamus, and bilateral lateral ventricle white matter. The patient, suspected to have necrotizing encephalopathy, presented in critical condition upon admission, with concurrent multiple organ failure and central diabetes insipidus.
